The papers below are examples of possible combinations. The pictures are intended to show you what the flowers can look like when put together. You can use these to help design your custom handmade paper or you can start from scratch. These pictures do not represent handmade paper that we have in stock. They are only representations of popular styles. For each handmade paper order we use only the flowers you request. Look at the examples below and then come up with your own recipe. Email us with your flower choices and we will create a picture of what that combination looks like. 100% recycled paper options available. You are welcome to either custom design your handmade paper which requires a thirty sheet minimum order, or you can choose from paper that we have in stock. Click here to view our overstock papers. If you buy sheets from our overstock papers there is no minimum quantity and they are $6.00 each. If you custom design your paper: $6.00 per sheet gets you one or two ingredients, with $0.50 extra for every ingredient above that. There are a few ingredients which have their own costs which are in addition to the ingredient count, those are noted below. Paper ordered from this page with the "Buy Now" buttons below will ship two weeks from today. The paper you receive will be very similar to the picture but they are handmade so expect some variation. For different concentration levels of the various ingredients please ask for a custom picture with your specific needs. There are over thirty different flowers, herbs and vegetables that you can mix and match to create a unique custom designed handmade paper. For your order we use the pressed and dried flowers you select from below which can even include flower seeds and 100% recycled paper. Looking for a green wedding? The second price represents the cost per invitation if you purchase the components from us and assemble them yourself. Not all styles require assembly. |

| Contemporary invitations allow for many options. Most of today's couples choose to include directions with their invitations. Often you can combine a map, written directions and accommodation information all on one card. Etiquette directs you to make the invitation very simple but we recommend that you avoid a separate mailing. This will save trees, reduce waste and cut down on costs! You will need a response card if you are having a catered event. Your caterer will need to have a final guest count within two weeks of your event. You can save trees/waste/money if you use the more casual postcard style response. Traditionally, invitations were sent in two envelopes so that the servant of the house would open the outer "soiled" envelope and present the master of the house with the pristine inner envelope. Earth-friendly budget-friendly single envelopes are our favorite! Single envelopes do present a dilemma. How do you address the invitation to illustrate to your guest that the whole family is welcome? Who saves envelopes anyway? Simply address the single envelope to all of the people you are inviting. | I'm ready to order now! - Invitation Ordering View a mock invitation proof page Each printed piece of your invitation order is shown to you online. The standard steps to ordering: Once you submit your order for custom invitations it takes 2-3 days to receive your link to your online proofs. If you have changes that you need to make to your proofs it will take another 2-3 days for the changes to be made. Once you are satisfied that the proofs are accurate you can finalize your order with payment. Your order will ship one-two weeks from your day of payment. Shipping time depends on your distance from Seattle and the speed of delivery that you request. |

| Our standard shipping and handling fees are from $7 to $17.
You can estimate the costs if you visit www.ups.com and enter your zip code and our zip code (98001). Handmade paper is light, most of our shipments are under 10#. All shipments are sent requiring a signature; the driver will not release the package without that signature. Please be sure to provide a shipping address where there will be someone to sign for the package. If UPS has to correct the address you give us to ship to there will be $10 charged to your credit card at the time we are billed by UPS for the address correction, this charge isn't refundable. We are not responsible for delays due to incomplete or incorrect addresses. Please be sure to give us your complete and correct street address....UPS cannot ship to a Post Office Box address. |

| A word about Of The Earth: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Founded in 1995 by Kevin and Lori Graham; two people who shared a passion for each other and a passion for the world around them. Lori had just graduated from the University of Washington with a BA in Fiber Arts and Kevin had just left a career as a commercial fisherman in Alaska (both life changing experiences). In planning their own wedding they discovered they enjoyed working together both in making the necessary arrangements for a party for 135 people and while endeavoring to make their invitations. They still have some of the original invitation pieces (and have been surprised to learn over the years which friends hung onto them as well) which included a self mailing reply card (handmade), folding invitation card (handmade with flowers applied to the paper), a folding direction card with map (there were two versions of this as their friends received an email reply request - in 1995!!) and a handmade envelope sealed with wax. This amounted to more then three hundred individually formed sheets of paper made one at a time in their kitchen, dining, and living room (picture a one bedroom, 770sq. ft. condo). The kitchen blender was never to be the same (thank goodness for wedding gifts). On their honeymoon while recounting everything that lead up their big day, they discussed what they wanted out of life and realized that they had an opportunity to make a difference and a living together. In the majority of responses they received on their reply cards there were handwritten notes commenting on how much the invitations were loved (someday we will put scans of these online). They saw that wedding invitations touch so many people and can have an impact in their choice of words, paper and delivery. Lori and Kevin realized that by creating a business that embraces our environment with earth friendly practices and an earth focused product, they could reach even more people if they helped other couples to send green wedding invitations. In the intervening ten plus years their dream has become a reality with more then 1,000,000 people receiving a card or invitation made on paper created by hand with the earth in mind. Of The Earth is proud to continue offering great earth focused products. We are also proud of our efforts to be a low impact business, to encourage our customers to use less paper (we love single envelope invitations and postcard reply cards), to produce paper with recycled/recovered water and to use every practical measure possible to ensure an environmentally responsible workplace.
